Direct Price Response Surveys (DPRS) |

The DPRS technique helps firms gain a lowball approximation of the demand function of their products and services. In the DPRS technique, respondents from a representative sample of the target population are asked the maximum price at which they are willing to purchase a particular product. By its very nature, DPRS invites respondents to shift into a bargaining mode and produces “opening” offers that are reflective of how they would react to similar scenarios in the real world.
