Probability Sample Face-to-Face (FTF) Surveys PDF Print E-mail
PARS has both the experience and the technical expertise to conduct high quality national or local probability sample face-to-face surveys in Iran and elsewhere in the world. Probability sample face-to-face surveys are the most effective and reliable way of gauging a target population’s opinion on a wide variety of topics. Our sampling techniques have been evaluated and approved by world-renowned polling and opinion research organizations and have yielded results that were within the margin of error, allowing our clients to base their decisions on our information with greater confidence.

Margin of Error – The margin of error of a SRS with a sample size of n=1000 is +/- 3.2%. However, since face-to-face surveys are not conducted among a SRS, the actual margin of error for n=1000 is somewhat higher, but is still less than 4.5%.

Survey Execution –
All interviews are conducted by local interviewing and supervisory staff.

Quality Assurance – Twenty percent of the houses that are interviewed are selected randomly and re-contacted.  The supervisors first make sure that the right person within the household was selected, and then re-ask 3 substantive and 3 demographic questions to ensure that the interviewers had recorded the answers in an accurate fashion.  If a gross discrepancy is observed between what was recorded and what was stated, the interviewer is dismissed and all of his/her interviews are discarded.
